Coinbase has announced a platform update introducing stock trading, prediction markets, options, perpetual futures, Solana asset access, a global on-chain Base App, Coinbase Business features, and an AI-powered financial advisor, expanding its services to encompass both traditional and crypto markets in one application.

Coinbase has announced a substantial platform update, expanding its services to include stock trading, ETFs, prediction markets, options, perpetual futures, and primary token sales within its main app. The update also introduces instant access to Solana assets, a global on-chain Base App with social and trading features, expanded Coinbase Business services for U.S. and Singapore businesses, and a new AI-powered financial advisor called Coinbase Advisor, which is rolling out in beta.
According to the company, these changes aim to offer retail users, businesses, and developers the ability to access both traditional and crypto financial instruments through a single Coinbase account. Additional features outlined include agent-based access for executing transactions, enhancements to the developer platform such as self-custodial stablecoin wallets, and broader integrations via the x402 open payments protocol.
