OANDA review: Broker emphasizes importance of volatility as strategic ally
OANDA guides traders in Q4

As Q4 2025 begins, OANDA TMS analysts contend that the key for traders is not to evade volatility but to understand and leverage it. Their recent outlook notes that the year has already reaffirmed a recurring principle: when economic fundamentals remain solid, “a rebound follows every sharp market drop.” The spring correction, driven by renewed trade-war fears and tariffs, produced outsized gains for investors who retained a pro-risk stance.

Key themes & trading opportunities

OANDA’s analysts highlight three major drivers of late-2025 volatility. First, the Federal Reserve delivered a 25-basis-point rate cut to a target range of 4.00 %–4.25 %—its first in nine months—which they call a “risk-management cut” oriented toward job-market protection rather than aggressive stimulus. Second, the risk of hidden inflation looms: U.S. tariff revenues might stabilise near $400 billion annually, and imported goods price increases could add roughly 1 % to consumer inflation—0.7 % of which is still unrealised. Third, in asset-classes: equities in the U.S. remain strong (buoyed by AI, liquidity and corporate strength), Japan offers opportunities amid inflation and reform, while Europe and the UK lag with slower recovery.

For FX and commodity traders, OANDA provides actionable forecasts: EUR/USD could climb to around 1.22 by year-end as U.S.-Eurozone rate differentials narrow. Gold is reclaiming its safe-haven status (hitting historic highs above $4,000 per ounce) as physical inflows surge. Conversely, Brent crude may be capped near $65 per barrel due to supply pressure from OPEC+.
