NordFX review: Platform updates schedule for Nov. 27–28
NordFX has released an updated trading timetable for November 27–28, 2025, as U.S. Thanksgiving observances are expected to affect liquidity and market participation.
- Chosen by 0+ local traders in the last 3 months.
- Traders earn on average 12% more per month vs other brokers.
The adjustments will impact metals, energy commodities, U.S. indices, and U.S. stocks, with several instruments closing early or remaining unavailable.
Holiday-Driven Market Adjustments
The broker reported that on Thursday, November 27, multiple instruments—including XAG/USD, XAU/USD, UKOIL, USOIL, XNG/USD, JP225, US30, US500, and USTEC—will experience early closures between 20:00 and 20:15 (server time). Trading in U.S. Stocks will be entirely closed for the day.
A second round of changes follows on Friday, November 28, where most of the same instruments will again close early, this time slightly later at 20:30 for metals and energy commodities. U.S. indices will end the session at 20:15.
Notably, JP225 will undergo both a late market open at 02:00 and an early closure at 20:15, reflecting disruptions in global equity trading schedules ahead of the holiday.
NordFX emphasized that these temporary adjustments are standard during major U.S. holidays, when trading volumes fall sharply and market conditions become more volatile.
What traders should prepare for
NordFX advises its clients to plan their trading activity ahead of the shortened sessions, particularly for strategies involving U.S. indices, metals, and oil markets. Reduced liquidity frequently leads to wider spreads and unpredictable price movements—conditions that can increase trading risk.
All instruments not listed in the holiday schedule will operate as usual, and normal trading hours will fully resume on December 1, 2025.
