Company updates from Beaver Creek
As reported by Weiss Ratings, Discovery Mining, 1911 Gold and Kuya Silver are among the miners highlighted after executive interviews at the Beaver Creek Precious Metals Summit in Avon, Colorado. The profiles focus on operating progress and development plans rather than formal investment recommendations.Discovery Mining, traded in Toronto and OTC markets as DSV and DSVSF, is positioning itself as a growing Canadian gold producer after its April 2025 deal with Newmont. The company’s Porcupine Complex near Timmins, Ontario, includes underground and open-pit mines as well as the historic Dome mine and mill, while it also retains its Mexican silver asset.
Executive vice president of investor relations Mark Utting says the company is working on a Nasdaq listing as output rises. Kuya Silver, listed as KUYA and KUYAF, is building around the Bethania Silver Project in central Peru. In Q2 2026, the company mines a record 5,097 tonnes of mineralized material and processes 23,912 ounces of silver, while targeting 150,000 to 200,000 silver-equivalent ounces in 2026 and evaluating a possible purchase of the Camila flotation plant.
Our earlier analysis of the Nasdaq 100 (NDX) covered the index’s rebound after a volatile selloff driven by AI supply-chain worries and higher financing costs for tech companies. We noted that despite the bounce, the NDX remained below key moving averages, with mixed momentum and oversold signals pointing to continued near-term uncertainty and close attention to the 29,868 resistance level.
