Clinica Moncucco paper reports robust optical sensor LOT reconstruction with 1 ms precision, Accuray asserts
Radixact optical LOT study

Accuray has congratulated Clinica Moncucco for publishing a Medical Physics paper that achieved robust optical sensor leaf open time (LOT) reconstruction using the Radixact platform, reaching 98.1 percent accuracy to within ±1 millisecond.

The research highlights the ability of Radixact's optical sensors to deliver stable and precise LOT readings compared to traditional detector-based methods. The study is expected to support further adoption of advanced radiation therapy technologies requiring high-precision beam delivery.

Accuray previously opened registrations for an SBRT webinar on prostate cancer treatments in April. The company also reported that individualized dose-driven margins may reduce OAR risk in nasopharyngeal carcinoma therapy. Both initiatives highlight Accuray’s ongoing focus on precision in radiation therapy.
