Enphase Energy and GRID Alternatives launch in-person battery skills initiative
Enphase Energy is accelerating the clean energy workforce transition by partnering with GRID Alternatives for practical training sessions in Long Beach.
The initiative, part of the IBT BESS program, integrates online learning through Enphase University with hands-on battery installation and management experience. By bringing digital and real-world components together, the companies aim to bridge the skills gap in the renewable energy sector. The training reflects a growing focus on equipping workers with the expertise required to deliver robust energy solutions during the U.S. energy transition.
Enphase Energy previously worked with GRID Alternatives to provide solar power to 1,709 households and train hundreds for clean energy jobs in 2025, according to a 2023 partnership report. The company also supplied technology for a 43 kW solar expansion at a Colorado brewery. Both projects highlight Enphase's continued involvement in renewable energy adoption and workforce development.
