Mistras Group completes high-altitude scan

Mistras Group rope access technicians have completed a complex inspection on a client’s HCU1 unit, scanning piping nearly 100 feet above ground where standard crane access could not be deployed due to ongoing activity in the area.

By utilizing specialized rope access techniques, the technicians managed to perform essential inspections efficiently and safely in conditions that would otherwise present significant logistical challenges for traditional maintenance teams.

Earlier this year, Mistras Group presented specialized engineering and data solutions at the 41st International Gas Technology Exhibition in Croatia. The company also debuted real time acoustic technology for detecting heat exchanger defects at an industry event in Rotterdam in 2026. These activities highlight a continued focus on advanced inspection methods for industrial clients.
