908 Devices identifies 108 tons of hidden cocaine and ketamine in Chile largest drug seizure
Chilean authorities have made the country largest drug seizure in history, uncovering 108 tons of cocaine and ketamine ingeniously concealed within timber shipments. The attempt to evade detection by X-rays and K-9 units was thwarted as 908 Devices' MX908 technology identified the narcotics on contact.
This operation signals advancing tactics in illicit drug trafficking and the critical role of advanced detection devices in intercepting sophisticated smuggling efforts. 908 Devices recently introduced XplorIR, a tool allowing hazmat teams to identify more than 5,600 gases onsite in under 20 seconds, according to a previous report.
