CVRx partners with Huntsville Hospital for first Barostim implant, expanding device therapy options — CVRx partners on Barostim implant

CVRx collaborated with Huntsville Hospital and a multidisciplinary team to complete the hospital's first Barostim implant. The partnership included heart failure and cardiovascular surgery teams, along with medical professionals Dr. Kaushik Jain, Dr. Andres Samayoa, Caroline Mauldin, CRNP, and Marie Peplinski, CRNP.

This advancement brings access to novel device therapy for patients at Huntsville Hospital. The Barostim device offers new treatment possibilities for those suffering from heart failure. The company expressed pride in working with the medical team during this milestone procedure.

CVRx has recently expanded Barostim therapy access through a partnership with RWJBarnabas Health at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, according to a previous company announcement. Christus Trinity Mother Frances was also recognized by CVRx for completing its tenth Barostim implant, marking a milestone in heart failure care, as reported earlier this year. These developments reflect ongoing efforts to broaden adoption of Barostim device therapy at major U.S. medical centers.
