Green Plains expands Wood River storage

Green Plains has commenced construction on an expansion project at its Wood River facility, aimed at increasing grain storage capacity by nearly 5 million bushels.

The initiative is expected to significantly reduce harvest wait times for growers. Company representatives were joined by members of Team Pillen as well as delegates from the offices of Senator Pete Ricketts and Senator Deb Fischer, highlighting local support for the agriculture sector. This move underscores Green Plains strategic focus on operational efficiency and enhanced partner collaboration.

Green Plains has focused attention on both policy and operations in recent months. CFO Ann Reis outlined the role of long term policy in accelerating low CI biofuels in an industry interview. The company also held a Safety Week initiative across all sites to highlight workplace safety practices.
