Southern First Bancshares expands leadership

Southern First Bancshares has announced the appointment of Mark Ricketson as team leader and senior vice president in Charlotte.

Ricketson brings over 25 years of commercial banking experience, having previously worked with national, regional, and large community banks in the region. His addition is expected to strengthen Southern First Bancshares' presence and expertise in the Charlotte market.

The bank recently appointed Karey Wilson as Client Experience Officer and Vice President to expand its leadership in Summerville, according to an earlier announcement. Southern First Bancshares has also introduced a 2026 summer intern program aimed at providing career development and hands-on banking experience for students, as described in a separate release. These moves follow continued efforts to grow both talent and executive ranks across its regional footprint.
