Barostim device rollout gives Prairie Cardiovascular patients novel heart failure therapy option
CVRx aids Barostim implant launch

CVRx announced its support for Prairie Cardiovascular and HSHS St. Elizabeth Hospital as the institutions completed their first Barostim implant procedure.

The new device therapy offers patients with heart failure access to an innovative treatment, signaling a step forward in expanding advanced medical solutions for cardiac care at the regional level.

CVRx has recently coordinated with other health systems to increase access to Barostim therapy. The company and Huntsville Hospital completed their first Barostim implant, expanding device therapy options for heart failure patients at that location, according to a previous report. In a separate initiative, CVRx and RWJBarnabas Health expanded therapy access at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, as detailed earlier this year.
