ON24 reveals AI adoption gap

A new ON24 survey shows a significant gap between B2B marketers' belief in the value of artificial intelligence and their actual adoption of the technology in webinars. Despite 71 percent of respondents saying AI can improve webinars, only 18 percent actively use it for that purpose.

The disparity persists in other areas: while 81 percent recognize the value of AI-driven translation, only 27 percent use such tools; and although 78 percent want AI-driven personalization, just 34 percent implement it. ON24 describes execution, rather than belief, as the main barrier to full-scale AI integration. The findings underscore that optimism about AI does not readily translate to operational deployment in B2B marketing.

Earlier ON24 data found that 82 percent of B2B marketers use AI in some capacity, but top performers are twice as likely to leverage the technology intensively for productivity gains, according to previous reporting. Another ON24 survey showed that only 18 percent of marketers use AI to repurpose webinar content, despite a majority seeing its potential, as detailed here. The results highlight a consistent gap between AI adoption and its perceived value in B2B marketing activities.
