Vuzix, Shiny Box sign defense deal

Vuzix has entered into a partnership with Shiny Box Interactive to develop new military medical training and remote-mentoring solutions. The collaboration will utilize the Vuzix Ultralite Pro OEM smart glasses platform as the foundational hardware for these advanced applications.

The initiative aims to enhance the effectiveness of military training programs and enable more efficient remote support for field operations. Both companies plan to integrate their technology expertise to deliver operational solutions for defense and related sectors.

Earlier, Vuzix claimed its smart glasses cut new worker proficiency time to 90 minutes, addressing challenges related to workforce turnover in fulfillment roles, according to a previous report. The company also announced plans to present its Shrike Evaluation Platform for defense wearable displays at the upcoming AUSA2026 event in Washington, D.C., as reported earlier. These developments reflect Vuzix’s ongoing focus on operational technology for industrial and defense sectors.
