Energy Vault rolls out battery service

Energy Vault has introduced its Energy Storage as a Service solution in response to growing energy challenges faced by the expanding U.S. data center sector. Pew Research projects that 1,500 new data centers will come online in the U.S. between now and 2030, but utility interconnection power remains the top obstacle to operational capacity.

By launching a utility scale battery product, Energy Vault aims to facilitate grid connections and support future data center growth against a backdrop of rising infrastructure constraints.

Earlier this year, Energy Vault launched a unified power system designed for gigawatt scale AI campuses, combining storage, generation, and software capabilities for expanding AI infrastructure. The company also secured state approval for its 125 MW Stoney Creek battery storage project in New South Wales, marking another step toward construction of the BESS facility. These developments show Energy Vault’s continued focus on large-scale energy storage solutions.
