Ouster unveils ZED Box 2 Series

Ouster announced that its subsidiary Stereolabs has introduced the ZED Box 2 Series, a new generation of industrial edge AI computers.

The devices are designed for autonomous mobile robots (AMRs), robot vision, and spatial AI applications, supporting up to eight synchronized GMSL2 cameras for full 360-degree perception along with lidar and other sensor inputs.

Earlier this year, Ouster launched an SDK feature to streamline lidar data export for GIS and point cloud applications, according to company disclosures. The company also partnered with Gangneung City to demo live lidar-powered intersection safety at the ITS World Congress in South Korea, as highlighted in a previous announcement. These initiatives reflect Ouster’s ongoing focus on expanding its lidar and spatial analytics offerings.
