Blade Air sets passenger record

Blade Air Mobility announced it flew over 44,000 passengers in the third quarter, marking the highest total for any quarter in the company history.

The growth was led by strong demand for its New York airport service, where passenger numbers rose 61 percent year-over-year and the number of new airport passengers more than doubled.

Earlier this year, Blade Air Mobility restored its premium BLADEone jet flights linking New York and South Florida, offering limited-capacity service as detailed here. The company also expanded in Texas through a partnership with Circuit of Americas, launching helicopter transport during Austin Race Weekend, according to a previous announcement. These initiatives add to Blade’s focus on connecting major markets with scheduled and event-driven mobility services.
