KIP Protocol distances itself from LIBRA profits as mystery deepens
The investigation around LIBRA continues

KIP Protocol, a Web3 firm previously linked to the Viva La Libertad project and the launch of the LIBRA token, denies any involvement, further narrowing the list of potential culprits.

In a statement shared via X, KIP Protocol claimed that it had no role in initiating or managing the project. According to the firm, it was invited on February 13 by Mauricio Novelli to assist in managing financing for Argentine small and medium-sized enterprises due to its past experience in grant programs and AI infrastructure deployment.

“The launch was initiated and managed by Hayden Davis/Kelsier, as he himself admitted, without KIP’s involvement,” the company stated, adding that it was unaware of the token sale date and did not receive any tokens or payments.

KIP also explained that after the token launch, it was asked to share information about the project on its X account. The firm agreed to do so at the time because LIBRA had been publicly endorsed by Argentine President Javier Milei, and there was confidence in the project's broader goals.

KIP Protocol insists that it did not profit from the token launch and that its founders' acquaintance with Milei was limited to a brief meeting last year, unrelated to the project.

Finding the guilty becomes harder

KIP’s statement adds further complexity to the situation, as Hayden Davis, responsible for launching the token, previously claimed he was merely a "middleman" rather than a developer or team member.

However, in a later interview with YouTube blogger Stephen Findyisen, known as Coffeezilla, Davis admitted to holding $100 million from the token’s launch. Meanwhile, the names of the beneficiaries who reaped billion-dollar profits from LIBRA remain undisclosed.
