Downward bias prevails as breakout risk skews to the downside

Over the next two to three trading days, the expected price corridor is $6.563908 to $7.120000, with typical volatility for the current environment. The probability of an upside breakout remains very low, while downside expansion is rated as highly likely. The base scenario anticipates consolidation within this band; a bullish reversal would require a clear break above immediate resistance, whereas a move below current support could open the door to further losses.

Anton Kharitonov, expert at Traders Union, sees Ethereum Classic locked in a clear downtrend. He notes that all major technical signals continue to indicate strong seller dominance, with the price holding below critical moving averages and resistance levels. There are no supportive news drivers to counter the negative technical picture. "For now, my base case is further downside or narrow consolidation — a recovery is off the table until $7.14 is reclaimed," Kharitonov says.

Earlier, analysts noted that Ethereum Classic was experiencing persistent bearish momentum amid sustained weakness below its key technical thresholds. The current analysis not only validates this outlook but also highlights that downside risks remain elevated, making close monitoring of the $6.56 support crucial for traders anticipating further volatility.
