TRON emerges as leading network for USDT payments on CoinsBee
USDT transferred over the TRON network has become the most frequently used onchain payment combination on CoinsBee, overtaking Bitcoin and Ethereum by a wide margin. The platform’s figures also point to a broader shift in how some cryptocurrency holders are using stablecoins, with spending increasingly extending beyond trading into retail purchases and digital services.
Highlights
- USDT on TRON leads onchain payments on CoinsBee.
- Its payment share increased 64% from 2025.
- TRON generated 64.5% of CoinsBee USDT turnover.
During the 90 days through Sept. 1, USDT on TRON generated about 1.8 times the number of completed payments made with Bitcoin and 1.9 times those made with Ethereum, according to CoinsBee. Its share of the total volume of payments processed through the platform reached 16.23% (as of the current point in 2026), compared to 9.92% for the full year of 2025, representing an increase of approximately 64%.
Stablecoins move deeper into everyday spending
The figures are based on successfully paid and delivered CoinsBee orders rather than blockchain transfers generally. The platform lets customers use more than 200 cryptocurrencies to buy gift cards, payment cards, gaming credits, and mobile top-ups connected with more than 5,000 brands across over 180 countries.
The composition of USDT spending provides another signal. TRON accounted for 44.6% of the number of USDT payments during the 90-day period but 64.5% of their turnover. That gap indicates that the average USDT purchase routed through TRON was larger than purchases using USDT on other supported networks.
In the United States, spending covered a broad mix of retail and services. Among the most frequently purchased brands with USDT on TRON were Amazon, Apple, Walmart, Macy’s, Uber, DoorDash, PlayStation, AT&T, T-Mobile, and Sephora.
Payment utility gains ground
The data matters because it offers a view of cryptocurrency use at the point of purchase rather than activity on exchanges or decentralized finance platforms. USDT is designed to track the U.S. dollar, reducing the price swings that can make assets such as Bitcoin less convenient for routine purchases.
TRON has meanwhile developed into a major settlement network for the stablecoin. More than $94 billion of USDT is circulating on TRON, according to figures cited by CoinsBee, giving the network substantial liquidity for dollar-denominated blockchain transfers.
CoinsBee’s figures represent activity on a single platform and should not be read as a measure of the entire crypto payments market. Still, the combination of higher payment frequency and larger transaction values shows how stablecoins are developing a practical role in digital commerce alongside their established use for moving funds between wallets and trading venues.
