Blockchain-based trading platforms are accelerating efforts to bring traditional equities into digital markets with round-the-clock access and faster settlement. Securitize says it is launching tokenized versions of 12 major U.S. stocks on Solana, with later trading planned on proposed venues linked to NYSE and OKXICE, subject to launch and regulatory conditions.

Highlights

  • Securitize launches tokenized shares of 12 major U.S. companies on its Solana-based PropAMM platform, with Jump Trading providing liquidity and USDC settlement.
  • Stock tokens, structured as security entitlements preserving dividends and voting rights, may trade on NYSE's 24/7 platform and the forthcoming OKXICE Tokenized Securities Venue pending regulatory approval.
  • The rollout targets continuous trading and faster settlement as part of a broader industry shift to blockchain-based equity infrastructure, enabling stocks' use as onchain lending collateral.

Tokenized stock rollout on Solana

As reported by CoinDesk, Securitize says its new Securitize Stocks product will initially offer tokenized shares of 12 major U.S. companies, including Apple, Nvidia, Tesla, Microsoft, Amazon, Alphabet, Meta, Netflix, Circle, Strategy and Palantir. The firm says the tokens are backed one-for-one by underlying shares and are structured to preserve economic benefits and applicable shareholder rights, including dividends and voting rights.

Trading is set to begin on Securitize's existing Solana-based PropAMM platform, with Jump Trading providing liquidity. RQD is supporting clearing, custody and settlement, while transactions are set to settle in USDC stablecoin.

Securitize says the tokens represent security entitlements rather than direct ownership on a company's shareholder register. The company adds that conversion may become available if issuers adopt tokenization.

Market expansion plans and industry implications

The company says the stock tokens are also expected to trade on the New York Stock Exchange's planned 24/7 digital trading platform and on the upcoming OKXICE Tokenized Securities Venue, a joint venture between Intercontinental Exchange and crypto exchange OKX. Those expansions remain subject to the venues launching and meeting regulatory requirements.

The launch places Securitize in a broader push by Wall Street and digital asset firms to move equities onto blockchain-based infrastructure. That model aims to support continuous trading, faster settlement and the potential use of stocks as collateral in onchain lending markets.

Carlos Domingo, chairman and chief executive of Securitize, says the goal is to bring equities onchain without losing the ownership protections, investor safeguards and market structure that underpin U.S. capital markets.

Our earlier article on Goldman Sachs’ upgrade of Palantir explained that the bank raised its rating to buy and set a $230 12-month price target, arguing the company can keep benefiting from expanding enterprise AI adoption. We noted Palantir’s strengths in sovereign AI and its forward-deployed engineering model, alongside strong recent share performance and broadly positive analyst sentiment—context that helps explain why Palantir is among the large-cap names now appearing in tokenized stock lineups.
