Bitcoin outlook points to near-term reversal as Weiss Ratings tracks key support levels
Bitcoin is nearing the end of a corrective phase, with Weiss Ratings' market timing model indicating a potential reversal window running through Nov. 12. The analysis highlights $76,000 as the next key support area and $85,000 as the level that would confirm a renewed medium-term uptrend.
Highlights
- Weiss Ratings' models indicate Bitcoin is likely forming a cycle low between late October and Nov. 12, as a prior bottom signal failed confirmation.
- Key support identified at $76,000 must hold on a closing basis for stability, while confirmation of a medium-term trend shift requires a close above $85,000.
- A modest rally is expected into early December before another low potentially forms in the Dec. 24–Jan. 13 reversal window, aligning with a 320-day cycle trough.
Reversal window centers on late October to mid-November
As reported by Weiss Ratings, its crypto timing and liquidity models indicate Bitcoin is likely forming a cycle low between late October and Nov. 12, after failing to confirm an earlier bottom call made around the week of Oct. 19.The firm says Bitcoin reached an 80-day-cycle top on Sept. 21 near 87,000, then appeared to bottom on Oct. 15 with an intraday move slightly below $80,000 and a close near that level on Oct. 17. A rebound to about $84,000 on Oct. 21 was followed by renewed weakness, with Bitcoin later closing below its Oct. 17 level, a sign that the low has not yet been fully confirmed.
Weiss Ratings says its 80-day forecasting model, which it says has not missed a date this year, currently shows a level four reversal signal between Oct. 23 and Nov. 12. Although the model marks that period as a top, the firm says such signals can invert, meaning a falling market into the window more likely points to a low than a high.
Liquidity indicators and the U.S. 10-year Treasury, which Weiss says leads Bitcoin by about 13 months, are also signaling a low around the current period, followed by a rally. The firm argues that the relatively limited decline, even after the Binance hack, suggests selling pressure remains contained.
Key price thresholds shape trading outlook
For near-term investors, Weiss Ratings identifies $76,000 as the next established support zone to the downside. Bitcoin has already tested that area in intraday trading, and the firm says the market now needs to close consistently above it to reinforce downside stability. On the upside, the firm says Bitcoin must close above $85,000 before any low can be considered confirmed and before a medium-term trend shift can be recognized. That leaves traders watching for confirmation after the bottoming process rather than at the exact turning point.
Beyond the current window, Weiss Ratings points to another level four reversal period between Dec. 24 and Jan. 13, while its macro indicators suggest a high around Dec. 2. Taken together, the firm expects a modest rally into early December, followed by another low in late December or early January that could align with a broader 320-day cycle trough.
