Highlights

  • EUR/BRL is trading at R$5.8981, showing near-term strength above short- and medium-term averages but below the long-term trend line.
  • Mixed momentum readings show bullish signals intraday but indicators such as RSI and CCI warn of an oversold setup.
  • Short-term range is projected between R$5.8566 and R$5.9276, with a high probability of an upward move in the next 2 to 3 days.

Buyers active intraday as momentum signals diverge

On the technical front, EUR/BRL recently cleared the MA-20 at R$5.8744 and the MA-50 at R$5.8694, while remaining capped below the MA-200 at R$5.9259, establishing this latter level as a key resistance. The Ichimoku Kijun at R$5.8651 provides immediate support. Momentum indicators present a mixed picture: MACD and ADX stay neutral, RSI issues a Sell signal, and CCI highlights an oversold setup. However, the Stochastic RSI posts a strong buy reading and Bull/Bear Power remains in positive territory, indicating that buyers are active intraday despite some caution flags from oscillators.

Upside risk prevails as price likely consolidates

Looking ahead, the short-term expectation situates EUR/BRL within the R$5.8566 to R$5.9276 corridor for the next 2–3 trading days. Given the setup, a bullish scenario would see price challenge resistance near R$5.9276, while a downside scenario has support emerging around R$5.8566. The most likely outcome is continued consolidation within this volatility band, with short-term upside risks outweighing the probability of a reversal.

Viktoras Karapetjanc, analyst at Traders Union, sees EUR/BRL holding steady above key short- and medium-term averages, with buyers showing resilience despite mixed momentum signals. He notes the absence of major news catalysts, so price action is mainly driven by technical and macro flows. The analyst believes the consolidation zone between R$5.8566 and R$5.9276 will likely persist short term, with more risk to the upside. 'As long as EUR/BRL stays above medium averages and buyers remain active, I expect upward pressure to continue toward R$5.9276,' says Karapetjanc.

Earlier, analysts noted that EUR/BRL was under sustained bearish pressure amid robust Brazilian fundamentals and persistent technical weakness. The current stabilization above short- and medium-term averages adds a new dimension to the outlook, with traders advised to watch for a potential test of resistance at R$5.9276 in the coming sessions.
