Funding round and product expansion plans
As first reported by Crunchbase News, Gudea says Mudita Venture Partners and Silicon Road Ventures co-led its $7 million seed round, lifting total funding to about $15 million since the company launched in 2023, according to co-founder and CEO Keith Presley. The company sells software designed to help businesses identify which online narratives are gaining momentum, who is driving them and how long they may persist. Presley describes the platform as a "storm tracker for the internet," saying it analyzes how information moves across people, groups and more than 600 social media platforms.
Gudea says it plans to use the new capital to expand its team, develop new features and broaden platform, language and regional coverage. The startup currently has about 25 employees and 39 customers.
Growing demand for proactive reputational risk tools
Gudea says its revenue is growing 357% year over year and that its customers include major AI companies as well as businesses in telecommunications, entertainment and retail, although it declines to identify them because of the sensitive nature of its work. Its initial commercial focus is reputational risk management, helping large companies detect potentially consequential stories before they spread widely. The company says its technology uses deep learning, including graph neural networks, to analyze behavioral patterns online, then applies a large language model to summarize findings. That approach is intended to go beyond keyword tracking and social listening by identifying how narratives move from fringe online communities into mainstream platforms.
Gudea says its work has included analysis tied to corporate espionage, stock market manipulation and debates over data centers affecting AI and energy companies. Investor Buddy Foster of Mudita Venture Partners says many existing tools remain reactive, while Gudea's system is built to model how information travels so companies can spot threats and opportunities earlier.
In our earlier roundup of Thursday analyst calls, we highlighted renewed optimism across AI-linked stocks as firms raised ratings and price targets on expectations of sustained spending on AI infrastructure and software. That coverage also noted that the AI boom is running into practical constraints—data-center buildouts face delays from equipment and labor shortages, permitting hurdles, and increasingly tight access to power.
