Bitcoin outlook points to mild correction before next rally
Bitcoin eyes new highs

Bitcoin is entering what one market analyst describes as a short-lived pullback before a renewed advance later in the quarter. The view centers on a projected dip toward $80,000 in the second half of October, followed by a potential move to a new cycle high in early December.

Highlights

  • Proprietary Fair Value model based on Bitcoin’s MVRV ratio signals only a mild correction, forecasting a dip to about $80,000 over the next 10–20 days.
  • Weiss Ratings analysis expects Bitcoin to resume its bullish trajectory after the October low, targeting a new high in early December.
  • A more significant retracement is projected after the November–December peak, with a major buying opportunity anticipated in January or February.

Fair value model signals limited October downside

As reported by Weiss Ratings, the latest market outlook combines macro timing indicators with a proprietary "Fair Value" measure based on Bitcoin’s MVRV ratio, which compares market value with realized on-chain value. The model is used to gauge whether holders are broadly sitting on losses or gains, a pattern the analyst says has historically aligned with cycle lows and tops.

The analysis says deeply negative Fair Value readings have tended to mark bear market bottoms, citing lows in 2015, 2018 and 2022. In the current cycle, the indicator reached -3 around February 2026, described as the most oversold reading in data going back to 2013, as Bitcoin fell to about $60,000 before revisiting that area in June and July.

The current setup is described as materially different. Rather than pointing to a steep drawdown, the indicators suggest a mini correction already underway, with Bitcoin expected to dip to roughly $80,000 within the next 10 to 20 days, with 15 days seen as the most likely duration.

Macro signals keep broader bullish path intact

The outlook says Bitcoin should resume climbing after the October low and continue toward a high in early December. The analyst argues that this cycle has already produced the mildest bear phase on record, with smaller rally amplitudes and shallower corrections than in prior cycles.

That does not rule out a larger retracement later. The analysis says the more significant correction is still expected after a November or December top, extending into at least January, with a bigger low projected sometime in January or February and framed as the next stronger buying opportunity for investors.

The note also stresses that the timing tools are not direct price predictors. Instead, the $80,000 target reflects the analyst’s own reading of Bitcoin’s likely path based on macro conditions and on-chain valuation signals.

We noted that its strategy emphasizes safety-rated, income-producing assets such as dividend stocks, Treasuries, commodities, and alternative income ideas, positioned as a more defensive approach to portfolio building.
