Conor Sen: Texas job growth ranks seventh, Florida struggles at thirty-ninth
Texas leads job growth, Florida lags

Conor Sen, industry influencer, highlights contrasting job trends between major U.S. states. According to Sen, Texas currently ranks seventh in job growth among all states, reflecting continued strength in its employment sector.

In contrast, Florida is experiencing significant challenges and presently holds the thirty-ninth position in job growth rankings. Within Florida, Greater Miami has been particularly hard-hit, losing 20k jobs over the last year.

Sen’s observations come after a slowdown in U.S. hiring earlier this year, with February’s hiring rate falling to its lowest level since 2011. In recent analysis, Joseph Politano reported that Florida and Texas ranked among the top states for post-pandemic GDP growth. All states have now exceeded pre-pandemic GDP levels.
