David Schwartz: Questions timeline of KelpDAO attack described by LayerZero
KelpDAO attack timeline disputed

David Schwartz, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Ripple Labs (XRP), is questioning details around the alleged attack on KelpDAO as described by LayerZero. Schwartz asks whether there was a change between December of 2024 and now, suggesting that the timeline presented by LayerZero does not align with what he understands about the attack.

Schwartz has previously argued that most DeFi bridging systems demonstrate strong security and risk mitigation, according to his review of DeFi bridge attacks. He has also publicly corrected his own posts in the past, deleting earlier statements that confused Arbitrum with another layer-2 network and issuing an apology in a separate incident. These actions reflect his active role in monitoring and clarifying blockchain security matters.
