U.S. gas prices hit 2022 highs

Charlie Bilello, chief market strategist at Creative Planning, reports that gas prices in the U.S. have climbed to $4.39 per gallon, the highest since July 2022.

He highlights a 47 percent surge in the past nine weeks, with prices moving from $2.98 to $4.39 per gallon, marking the biggest short-term spike in the last 30 years.

Bilello recently reported major price increases in jet fuel, oil, and other commodities since the start of the Iran war. Earlier in 2024, he highlighted the S&P 500 reaching its tenth all-time high. His updates continue to track key shifts across commodities and equities.
