TON boasts 400 validators on six continents, Pavel Durov notes
Pavel Durov, chief executive officer at Telegram Messenger LLP, stated that TON now operates with 400 validators across six continents, making it one of the most decentralized blockchain networks globally.
He also highlighted that Telegram becoming the largest validator has enabled major exchanges and custodians to participate in staking TON without raising concerns over centralization risk.
Durov has previously stated that TON leads Layer-1 blockchains in finality time, noting its rapid transaction processing. Earlier this year, he also cited 41 kidnappings of crypto holders in France in 2026, linking the incidents to data leaks and tax investigations. These developments have kept the blockchain and security aspects of Telegram and TON in focus.
