Goldman Sachs sees trillions in AI capex

Brian Sozzi, reporter and analyst at Yahoo Finance, shares new projections from Goldman Sachs regarding artificial intelligence investments by hyperscale technology companies.

According to the report, the combined capital expenditure of Meta, Microsoft, Amazon, and Alphabet is expected to total $5.3 trillion from FY2025 to FY2030. Goldman Sachs also provides a baseline estimate of $7.6 trillion in aggregate capex between 2026 and 2031 across these leading firms.

Sozzi has previously highlighted swings in semiconductor stocks driven by corporate announcements. He recently noted that Arm Holdings and ServiceNow shares jumped while Qualcomm and Intel fell following Nvidia's Computex keynote. In another update, Sozzi shared Goldman Sachs' assessment that semiconductor stocks rallied beyond near-term earnings forecasts.
