Blockchain Engineering, Aptos, and Web3 Infrastructure by Avery Ching

Avery Ching is co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of Aptos Labs, a high-throughput blockchain created by former Meta engineers. At Meta, Ching was Tech Lead for Novi and Diem and contributed to data systems including Hive and Spark, which scaled to billions of global users. Aptos has raised more than US $350 million in venture funding from investors such as a16z, Binance Labs, and Franklin Templeton.

The Aptos network, launched in 2022, has achieved benchmark speeds of more than 150,000 transactions per second in test environments and supports millions of daily transactions in production. Recognition in CoinDesk’s “Most Influential” list (2023) underlines Ching’s impact on blockchain infrastructure. Annual compensation, combining equity, token holdings, and CTO salary, is estimated between US $1–2 million. Speaking engagements at Consensus, TechCrunch Disrupt, and Token2049 draw audiences of 500+. With a growing ecosystem of over 70,000 developers, Ching has positioned Aptos as one of the most technically advanced blockchains in the market.
