Crypto expands across finance sectors, Brian Armstrong notes
Brian Armstrong, co-founder and CEO at Coinbase, states that while Bitcoin may be down, other areas within the crypto sector, such as derivatives, perpetual contracts, stablecoins, and prediction markets, are performing well.
He argues that crypto is now broader than Bitcoin and influences every area of finance, although wider recognition of this shift may take time.
Armstrong recently announced Coinbase's launch of pre-IPO perpetual contracts for SpaceX, giving investors outside the U.S. a way to gain exposure before IPOs. Earlier this year, he confirmed Coinbase's entry into the Indian market with direct INR rails and full user access planned within weeks. Both moves reflect Coinbase’s continuing product and geographic expansion.
