Alex Bosworth: Sats could replace karma on app platforms
Alex Bosworth, head of infrastructure at Lightning Labs, proposes applying sats, the smallest unit of Bitcoin, to all apps in place of traditional karma systems or controlled content moderation.
Bosworth suggests that introducing a structure where users spend sats to gain attention but earn by providing valuable contributions may be essential for the development of decentralized app platforms.
Bosworth has previously highlighted the importance of maintaining BTC price floors to prove the asset’s endurance, according to a past statement. He has also projected that shared UTXOs could drive Bitcoin Lightning Network volume toward $1 trillion within the next decade, as noted in a separate forecast. These earlier comments reflect his ongoing focus on Bitcoin’s infrastructure and scalability.
