Bitcoin CAGR breakeven needed for outperformance, Stephan Livera notes
Bitcoin must exceed capital cost

Stephan Livera, head of education and podcast host at Swan Bitcoin, analyzes the decision between buying Bitcoin directly and investing in a Bitcoin treasury-focused company.

He finds that the key factor is whether Bitcoin's compound annual growth rate can consistently outpace the cost of capital. Livera also identifies a breakeven growth rate in the range of 12% to 16% per year where outperformance occurs.

Livera has previously emphasized that building wealth with bitcoin requires a long-term approach, stating there is no easy path to quick gains in a recent note. In another update, he highlighted Strategy's sale of 32 BTC, describing it as minor compared to earlier larger disposals such as the December 2022 sale of 704 BTC tracked last year. These observations reflect Livera's continued focus on disciplined strategies for bitcoin investors.
