E.J. Antoni highlights that government workers continued to be significantly more expensive than their private sector counterparts during the first quarter.
According to Antoni, a large portion of this cost difference can be attributed to the benefits received by government employees, which remain higher compared to those in the private sector.
Antoni has previously tracked shifts in consumer prices. He reported that U.S. utility prices fell 1.5% since the Iran war began. Earlier, he noted the Dallas Fed trimmed mean PCE inflation rate was 2.3% in April.
