Stephan Livera, head of education and podcast host at Swan Bitcoin, compares the concept of selling unrealistic promises about bitcoin to selling false hope in traditional contexts.

He acknowledges that while bitcoin is indeed money and expresses a preference for a spam-free bitcoin network, practical challenges exist. Livera points out that in the real world, the tolerant minority effect influences bitcoin relay and achieving a fully spam-free environment is impossible.

Livera has previously noted ongoing growth in bitcoin lightning network volumes, even after a 50% drop from peak levels. He also reported that Strategy remained positive in BTC holdings for the year despite a recent sale. These observations contribute to his broader commentary on practical challenges and adoption in the bitcoin ecosystem.
