U.S. 30-year yields hold above 5 percent for 27 days, Lisa Abramowicz notes
U.S. 30-year yields at 2007 highs

Lisa Abramowicz, journalist and co-host on Bloomberg TV/Radio, reports that U.S. 30-year Treasury yields have stayed above 5 percent for 27 days this year, including the past 12 consecutive days, marking the longest such streak since 2007.

Abramowicz adds that real yields on 30-year notes are now at nearly 3 percent, their highest level since 2008.

Abramowicz has previously reported on large moves in equity and credit markets. In June, Microsoft saw its steepest monthly drop since 2008 with shares losing nearly 19%, according to her recent coverage. She also noted that Amazon has borrowed over $100 billion this year, including issuing 40- and 50-year bonds, raising investor concerns about the scale of its long-term debt.
