The index saw gains of 0.83% at 9:40 a.m. before turning flat at 11:05 a.m.

In prior sessions, Peter Tuchman reported that the S&P 500 added over $350 billion in market cap as the index climbed 0.55% in a single day, according to his earlier coverage.
