Active Bitcoin wallets surge to two-year high, Ki Young Ju notes
Coldcard hack drives Bitcoin wallet activity

Ki Young Ju, founder & CEO at CryptoQuant, reported that the Coldcard hack has caused Mean Coin Age to decline for the first time this year.

The number of sending wallets reached a two-year high, with approximately 728,000 Bitcoin wallets moving funds in a single day, about 300,000 above the daily average. According to Ki Young Ju, this unusual spike likely indicates a shift toward safer storage amid heightened concerns.

Earlier this year, Ki Young Ju reported weaker spot demand for Bitcoin, while futures interest remained positive but below levels seen three months prior. Ju has also highlighted an on-chain investigation contest hosted by Digital Asset Works with a 2 BTC prize pool. These updates add to ongoing market observations from the CryptoQuant CEO.
