Bitcoin completes quantum-safe transaction

Michael Geike, co-founder & CEO at Advanced Blockchain AG, reports that Bitcoin has just processed its first quantum-safe transaction. The transaction used a quantum-secure scheme called QSB, which leverages Bitcoin's existing rules to lock a transaction against Shor's algorithm without requiring a protocol change.

Geike considers the method used for this transaction to be more notable than the milestone itself, highlighting the ongoing importance of quantum resistance in blockchain technology.

Geike has previously commented on developments in blockchain security and transparency. In a prior update, he noted that privacy is the top priority for Ethereum's next major upgrade. He also highlighted Coinbase’s move to launch tokenized U.S. stocks on Base using Chainlink price feeds.
