Johnston previously highlighted Brent crude at $87 per barrel as the U.S. diesel crack spread reached $89 per barrel, making diesel twice the price of crude in an earlier report. He has also commented on reports that the U.S. was nearing a major deal for Venezuelan oil fields in another recent article. Both developments have contributed to heightened interest in U.S. energy markets.
