China LLM firms reach $10-15 billion ARR

Freda Duan reports that open-source large language model (LLM) companies in China have achieved estimated annual recurring revenue (ARR) of $10-15 billion, with core LLM revenue amounting to approximately $6-8 billion, excluding Byte and Seedance.

Duan highlights the rapid industry growth, noting that Zhipu’s ARR has increased more than sixfold since March, while its token usage has risen over 40 times year to date.
