Tesla robotaxi completed 438,000 driverless miles in Austin during the latest reported week, marking a rapid increase since late August.

Freda Duan noted that this weekly figure is approximately 3.4 times higher than the level seen in late August. Waymo's average during the second quarter was reported as 406,000 driverless miles per week.

Freda Duan has previously analyzed valuation dynamics in the AI sector. In an earlier report, she wrote that OpenAI was seeking a $1.4T valuation. Duan also noted that this move created IPO pressure for Anthropic.
