DEX trading volume increases during bearish phase, Dan Tapiero notes
Digital asset ecosystem expands as DEXs grow

Dan Tapiero, founder & CEO at 10T Holdings, highlights continued growth in the digital asset ecosystem despite a prolonged market downturn described as a bear phase for '25-'26.

He points to a significant increase in decentralized exchange (DEX) volume over the past three years as evidence of ongoing adoption, even without BTC and ETH leading in price action. Tapiero expects a further surge in activity in the digital asset ecosystem.

Tapiero has previously identified Ethereum as undervalued following its progress toward serving as the backbone for future finance, according to a recent note on Ethereum’s potential in agentic finance. He has also commented that tokenizing high-value assets such as real estate is critical for blockchain’s future use cases, as outlined in remarks on tokenizing real estate and illiquid holdings. These views reflect Tapiero’s ongoing focus on practical applications within the digital asset sector.
