Willem Middelkoop, founder, investor, commodity fund manager at Commodity Discovery Fund, draws attention to what he describes as a 'little gold trick' involving the U.S. and the Dutch National Bank.

He references a transfer of gold between March and August 2026, where approximately 86 tonnes were moved from a combined 313 tonnes held in the United States and Canada to London.
