REC executes first tokenised corporate bond

Sumit Gupta, co-founder & CEO at CoinDCX, highlights a milestone for India’s financial markets as REC raised $500 crore this week through the country’s first tokenised corporate bond.

The transaction moves ownership records and settlement onto blockchain technology. L&T is planning a similar $500 crore issue soon.

Gupta previously reported strong interest in crypto and finance at the CoinDCX booth during MoneyExpo Mumbai. He has also reviewed assumptions for bitcoin, projecting potential net inflows of $1.3-5.3 trillion over 3-5 years. These updates reflect ongoing engagement with digital assets in India’s financial sector.
