Scott Bessent: Blue-collar worker earnings surpass inflation since January 2025
Blue-collar workers see earnings rise

Scott Bessent, 79th U.S. Secretary of the Treasury and founder of Key Square Group, reports that the pro-growth agenda from the U.S. president is restoring purchasing power for working families.

According to Bessent, as wages continue to outpace inflation, real weekly earnings for blue-collar manufacturing workers have increased by 4.1%, and blue-collar construction workers have seen a 5% rise since January 2025.

Bessent has previously welcomed Bank of Japan Governor Kazuo Ueda for G20 meetings, focusing on the U.S.-Japan alliance and financial discussions. In earlier remarks, he criticized Senator Warren and the media for what he described as a lack of understanding of foreign exchange markets and financial basics, according to past comments. His recent statements reflect ongoing engagement with U.S. and global fiscal policy.
