Firmus $30 billion IPO collapse is healthy

Matthew Sigel criticized the failed $30 billion IPO attempt by Firmus, calling out lead bankers JPM, MS, and BofA for trying to unload the deal on public investors.

He noted that data center stocks were hit following the IPO's collapse but argued that, in the long run, the sector benefits when investors reject what he described as extractive deals.

Sigel has previously discussed BTBT's creation of a strategic asset company category, comparing its business model to DATs and ETFs in a recent post here. He also noted BTDR's addition of over 7MW of homemade ASICs at Soluna's Dory Creek site in Texas with a revenue-sharing arrangement here. Both events reflect Sigel's focus on data center operations and asset management developments.
