U.S. September inflation exceeds expectations

U.S. consumer price index for September rose 0.6% month-on-month, matching forecasts, while annual inflation reached 3.7%, slightly above the 3.6% estimate.

Susan Li reported that inflation for September came in hotter than expected, with the annual rate surpassing projections.
