Argentina’s trade surplus rose 217 percent year-on-year in September, marking the country’s 34th consecutive month of surplus. The combined volume of exports and imports for the month increased 11.6 percent year-on-year to reach a total of $17.095 billion.

Daniel Lacalle, chief economist and investment manager at Tressis Gestion, reported these figures.

Lacalle has recently covered rising bond yields as ECB President Lagarde addressed inflation concerns. He also reported on Iran’s accelerating economic collapse amid high inflation and currency devaluation. His coverage spans key developments in global markets and emerging economies.
